100 Days of Hoops 57

spud.jpgThe 1986 Dunk Contest was a victory for short men everywhere, not just 5-foot-7, Spud Webb. Not everyone was happy though. The night was a huge loss for gravity and a very big upset for Webb’s heavily favored teammate, Dominque Wilkens whose thunderous dunks were reminiscent of only Thor’s hammer.

But when you are Spud Webb, the world is your moon bounce. Day 57 celebrates the greatest little guy to ever become a slam dunk champion. Check out the video below to watch every dunk of the contest, including Webb’s gravity defying jams that earned him the slam dunk championship.
